Drum roll please… I’m super excited to announce that I will be opening a shirt shop on Threadless! Yippee!!
Threadless recently created an Artist Shop program that allows individual artists to showcase and sell their designs. The program is currently in Beta and shops are available through invitation only. Thousands of artists have applied but only a few dozen shops have been selected and opened so far. I can’t believe that I will have the opportunity to open an early shop. I’m so happy.
Here is a sneak peek of the designs that you will initially see. I’m only allowed a maximum of 12 designs at first but will be able to add more once the shops are launched for the general public.
You can check out some of the other artist shops here (while you are waiting for my awesome shop to open 🙂 https://www.threadless.com/artist-shops/
I will post an update as soon as my shop goes live! Super awesome!

Has anyone seen the movie, Inside Out, yet?  I think that it looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it.  Threadless is currently hosting a design challenge for the movie and I entered a design featuring a character named “Sadness” and a quote on the “benefits” of crying 🙂  She is totally adorable.
Check it out!
I created a super cheesy design for Threadless’ Dream Destination challenge. Â It is a retro/vintage “travel poster” for an imaginary destination called Cumulus. Â Cumulus is the magical land of puffy clouds and rainbows. Â It has cupcakes, unicorns and cotton candy clouds. Â What could be better?
If you want to travel to Cumulus (or at least wear a t-shirt with it’s amazing, magical image on it), check out my Threadless submission!! Â https://www.threadless.com/designs/cumulus-3/.
My twins turned 5 in March.  Guess it is time to FINALLY create keepsake birth records for them 🙂  Wow, I’m slow.
I finished the first one this morning and I’m really excited about it. Â It is for my daughter, Ellie, who nicknamed herself “Funshine” in honor of one of the Care Bears (her favorite show at the time.) Â I plan to add her birthday and birth stats when I send it off to the printers.
I can’t wait to work on the other 2!
I just submitted my very first design to Threadless and I’m super excited!  Fingers crossed that it does well… or at least doesn’t totally bomb 🙂  I’ve been thinking about submitting a design FOREVER and never had the courage to do it.  Last night, I just went for it.  I think that I was too tired to be nervous 🙂
Threadless relies on the user community to help determine which designs to print. Â If you like my design, please check it out and vote!
Even if this design isn’t successful, I’m really happy that I finally did it. Â The first step is always the hardest! Â Now I have to get back to work on some more fun designs!
Vote, vote, vote!! http://bit.ly/1AZf5Rk
Yes, that’s right… reading makes you awesome. Â Really awesome.
This little illustration was born as a coloring page for my kids. Â I wanted them to know that reading would make them awesome (as if they weren’t already.)
They loved it and just coloring it made them awesome… imagine how awesome they would be if they could actually read!
I was jealous of their awesomeness so I decided to color my own version.
And put it on a tote bag that I can use to carry the gazillions of books that my kids want from the library.
If you or your kids want to color your own “Reading Makes you Awesome” page, I posted a copy of the original coloring page in the “Coloring Pages” section!  You can also pick up your own “Reading Makes You Awesome” goodies from my Zazzle shop!
Read. Â Color. Â Be totally awesome.
I came back from vacation with renewed energy and a craving for color.  I thought that the beach would inspire me to create something sandy or beachy or seashell-y… but no.  All I could think about was this happy little sun surrounded by a swirling rainbow and smiling clouds.  That’s what I think about a lot 🙂
